Grammar School Distinctives

Grammar School (elementary school) is a unique time of forming friendships, enthusiasm for knowledge, and character development. Students at Harvest develop their God-given gifts for a life of service in His kingdom as they age and mature. Our unique model of parent partnership creates a consistency for what is taught at home and in school.

We have chosen a curriculum that we believe will provide not only a robust education, but a rigorous experience in obtaining the knowledge itself. Some of our elementary curriculum includes Saxon Math, All About Reading, Apologia Science, Story of the World, IEW Grammar and Writing and more.

Enrichment & Specials

Students are given ample opportunities to explore their creative gifts through art, music, foreign language, and PE. They also grow their reading skills in free-read periods, with access to a variety of good and beautiful library books. Additionally, as we grow, we look forward to offering afterschool clubs.

Parent Partnership

Grades 1 through 5 are critical for student development and future success. Students in grammar school require the most hands-on support. By partnering with parents during our On-Campus and School@Home days, we maximize opportunities for academic growth and character formation for our students.

Technology Free

With the rapid spread of technology into our lives, students at Harvest Academy are given a chance to be children again, free of screens, for the duration of elementary school. Students are able to build a solid foundation of wisdom and knowledge without the distractions of excessive media.

What Parents Are Saying

  • “We love Harvest Academy because of the changes we are seeing in our kids at home. They have grown to love learning in ways we never knew were possible. Mrs. Williard is a treasure of a teacher and has created a classroom culture that ignites critical thinking for my daughter. The communication lines are always open and I cannot imagine sending my children anywhere else!”

    - Alex Valencsin, 1st and 4th Grade Parent

  • "After several years in the public school system, we took a leap of faith and decided to join Harvest Academy for third grade. Despite all of the unknowns and no familiarity with the University-Model or homeschooling, the transition has been extremely smooth. We are impressed with the curriculum and resources provided to make home days fun and successful. Harvest has become like a second family to us, and we are excited to watch our children grow academically and spiritually within this supportive community."
