Parents Teacher Partnership

Harvest Academy is a University-Model® School, which combines key elements of a traditional school setting with the parental involvement of homeschool. This 5 day a week model, allows students to attend classes on campus three days under the instruction of school educators, and at home the remaining 2 days under the guidance of parents. The distinctive parent-teacher partnership offered in this school model plays a vital role in creating a rich and fruitful educational experience for students.

Teachers provide parents with weekly lesson plans and oversee students' classroom instruction. They are equipped to provide parents with resources, encouragement and feedback throughout the school year ensuring that parents are well-informed about their child's academic performance and social-emotional well-being.

Alongside teachers, parents are active partners in their child’s education.  In grades K-5, parents carry out the primary instruction on home days. They are encouraged to reinforce the teachings and values instilled in the classroom, fostering a consistent and unified approach to education. Parents are provided with resources and learning opportunities to deepen their understanding of classical education principles and Christian worldview, enabling them to actively engage in their child's educational journey.

Harvest Academy warmly welcomes parents to participate in school activities, volunteering their time and talents to support various events, field trips, and extracurricular activities.  Our desire is to foster community and support relationships between families, students, and staff.

Together, parents and teachers inspire and equip students to become lifelong learners, grounded in Christ, and prepared to impact the world for His glory.
